Simply put, a paint correction, often referred to as a "color" correction, "buffering", or "compound/polishing", is a type of detailing where the professional will remove light to moderate scratches and swirl marks. These swirls and scratches are often caused by improper washing, drive through car washes, or wiping the vehicle down before its been cleaned properly. The term paint or color correction comes from removal of these defects in the clear coat to leave behind a perfectly smooth surface that is able to accurately reflect the colors in your paint when artificial or sunlight is shined on it. Those swirls cause what we call "hazing" when the light reflected off the paint is scattered giving the cars color a white hue.
This process can be extremely involved to achieve perfection, which is the only result if performed by me. While this service maybe offered by many, my many years of training, experience, and study of the chemical make up of paints and products give me the ability to bring your paint to the highest level of show quality. My methods and practices of the decontamination process, paint depth measuring, wet sanding, compounding, polishing, and jeweling, are not just the training and secrets of the very best detailers in the country, but also my background in chemistry and physics from the aerospace industry.
To achieve this level or work, vehicles are dropped off for 2 days at our facility as minimum estimated time starts at 8hrs . Included in all paint correction work is either a show winning carnauba wax & sealant treatment, or a 5yr Ceramic Coating. This is a must to ensure the correction work is locked in and the true color of your vehicles paint is presented. Estimates are free. Again, this level of detailing is not for every vehicle, but the quality that is left after is second to none. My goal isn't to just perform an elite detail service, but to offer more to the experience of owning your vehicle.
"My passion fuels my perfectionism, as I never accept good enough."
